Doc's Diesel Crankcase Filters:

Engines produce blow-by gases—unburned fuel, water vapor, and contaminants—that escape into the crankcase. Without a crankcase ventilation filter, these gases re-enter the intake system with oil mist, causing sludge, oil degradation, and engine damage. The filter keeps oil cleaner, extending its life and improving engine efficiency, reducing maintenance costs. It also traps oil vapors and hydrocarbons, cutting harmful emissions and helping diesel engines meet strict regulations. Excess crankcase pressure can reduce engine performance and damage components like turbochargers. The filter prevents this, maintaining optimal engine performance and fuel efficiency.

    Product Details:

    • Crankcase Ventilation Filter made of durable high quality material resistance to heat and oil
    • Quality tested and inspected to ensure peak efficiency
    • Filters out oil mist and other harmful particulates that get routed back to the intake system
    • Doc's auto parts all have an OEM design, fit, and function that meets or exceeds OEM Requirements

IMPORTANT! 2019 Ford 6.7L Powerstroke Information:

Ford began integrating the CCV filter into the valve cover, making it sealed and not designed for periodic replacement. However, some 2019 models (especially earlier builds) may still have a serviceable filter.

How to Identify if Your 2019 Model Has a Serviceable Filter:

Serviceable: These filters have bolts on the top housing, allowing for easy replacement.

Non-Serviceable: These filters do not have bolts and are typically part of a larger assembly, meaning they cannot be easily replaced.

    • Visual Inspection: A serviceable filter will be located under a cover on top of the engine and will have a replaceable cartridge. A non-serviceable filter will be integrated and not accessible for replacement without replacing the entire valve cover assembly.

    • Check Part Number: A serviceable filter typically has a Ford part number like HC3Z-6A785-A. Non-serviceable systems won’t have a standalone part number for the filter.

    • Consult the Owner’s Manual or Service Manual: Review the maintenance section to see if the filter is mentioned as a replaceable item.

    • VIN Lookup: Using your VIN number on a Ford parts website or with a dealer can confirm whether your specific truck has a serviceable or non-serviceable CCV filter.

    • DRW vs. SRW: DRW (Dual Row) engines typically have serviceable CCV filters, while SRW (Single Row) engines do not.
